Breckenridge

We just returned home from "Breck" today! We had such an awesome time, I love being in the mountains, it is so beautiful there!  I enjoyed the town and amazing scenery rather than skiing this time.   We had a few relaxing days to just hang out or do a little bit of shopping. :)  Heres a few pictures from our trip!

This was the view from our back porch.

I think I'm going to have to order this one on a canvas.

And maybe this one too!

Pretty incredible, huh?

The Big "W"

The Inspiration
As everyone knows, moving is never fun but being as this is the first place that I've been able to paint the walls, I was ready to get started! I'm thrilled that this will be our first real home together. (We lived in an apartment, but its not the same until you get to put your own stamp on it!)  Design isn't really fella's thing but he was so helpful when painting the EXTREMELY textured walls and all he asked for was a W on the wall. Although my last name does not yet begin with a W, he was such a good sport in the moving process that I decided to give in to his one request. And so began my search for the perfect W to paint on the wall in our bedroom. After finally selecting this one, I borrowed the projector, outlined the W with a Sharpie, and then painted it. I would not recommend using a Sharpie unless you are using black paint. A pencil is generally the best choice, as it will not bleed through paint. And good brushes will get you a long way! I am so pleased with the results, it ended up being about 24x30. The walls are Web Gray from Sherwin Williams.
And the results!
